I’ll be appearing live at Arlenes Grocery in NYC at 8 pm to perform a few songs as part of a benefit for John Paul’s (crush of empires) nephew. Here’s some info on the cause:
JP’s 7yr old nephew Richard “Trip” Baker was diagnosed with childhood leukemia this past December. Trip is an aspiring hockey player, bull rider, loves Legos and Superheroes. My oldest brother Rick and his family live in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Trip is currently receiving treatments at Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, an 8hr round trip that they make at least once a week. We are doing this benefit as a pass-through fundraiser for Trip that is being sponsored by Jason’s Friend’s Foundation. A Wyoming based foundation that supports Wyoming families dealing with childhood cancers. 100% of tickets, door, merch, and raffle sales will all be donated to Trip through the foundation.

Been getting some show offers but I’m still in studio mode.  Dying to play out but for those of you who know me, I’m sort of a bipolar perfectionist and it’s something that I’m trying to control.  Last week I was debating scrapping the entire record and starting over, that’s just silly.  working out the kinks now and pushing forward to mastering asap.  I’m still writing.  went over to producer Peter Litvin’s pad last week and played him a few songs.  He was psyched and perhaps we’ll bust out another tune for a future release.  The Opponent with producer Kase Reese is nearly to the finish line.  That’s all I have for the moment.  I’m been doing some stand up every Monday night at my bar Kave.  Drop in next Monday if you’re around…it’s a hoot.  xo ERS

I’ve teamed up with Producer/DJ Kase Reese to move in a new direction (to say the least). It’s a genre bending EP mixing electro/dubclub/dance with rock. Not sure when I’ll be appearing live but I foresee the music reaching you in the very near future. I’ve had to bag my stand up comedy appearances for a bit since we’re near the tail end of the recording process and I’ve been pouring my energy into it. I will be hosting some events at my espresso bar Kave in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Oct 22 is stand up comedy open mic including awesome headliner Perry Strong.  Nov 10 lyrical piano pop buzz girl Jana Fisher will tickle the baby grande.  Stand by for take off.

At my espresso bar Kave listening to the sweet sounds of Dylan Meeks on the baby grand piano. Amazing jazz player. Things are staying creative in ERS camp. I’m fully devoted to the studio at this point, no more live shows for the time being as I work towards completion of my new record “the Opponent”. I was actually inspired to add a piano song to the record. Right now it’s about 6 tracks, 1 spoken word with some crazy dubstep soundscapes and 5 fully fleshed out songs. I’m being patient as the studio demands and will keep you updated fo’ sho’. In the meantime, come visit me anytime at Kave and I’m sure I’ll be traipsing around NYC here and there.
